Slenderman is on the developer's route list. The sources below describe a proxy-task branch and an input effect, but do not provide a complete scene order or ending condition. The task reply is tentative; the mouse explanation is a single-source developer report.

Spoilers: Proxy task, without invented steps

An older Jeff player report says to refuse a proxy invitation for Jeff. The developer's chapter 4 reply tentatively suggests refusing a mission if you are a proxy to go toward EJ. Different chapter contexts and wording prevent treating these as independent confirmations of one rule. Exact Slenderman route steps remain unknown here.

The apology/input thread is one player's account; the author asks for details and another player suggests an intentional effect. Do not turn the reported long press into a required input technique. Separately, the developer says the moving mouse represents Zalgo (single-source developer report). Slenderman's route name comes from the developer listing.

Questions

How do I avoid this route?

A developer reply tentatively suggests refusing the chapter 4 mission if you are a proxy to go toward EJ. It is not a documented universal route-switch method.

Is the mouse a bug?

The author said it is Zalgo. Players also say Zalgo poses as Ben. The devlog still does not name the new character.

Do choices need a long press?

A player said chapter 4 choices flicker until held for about ten seconds. The author asked for more detail on that thread.
