Can you play CreepyDates online?

Checked 2026-10-28. Unofficial fan guide. Sources linked in the text. Official page: hahadit.itch.io/creepydates.

I requested https://hahadit.itch.io/creepydates-web on 28 October 2026. The response was HTTP 200, and the body said a password is required. The main game page calls it a downloadable game and does not show a Play in browser button. I am not embedding a third-party copy.

Why the author says a web build does not fit

The developer's web-build reply attributes the problem to a 1,000-file web limit and about 1,500 files in four chapters. These numbers are a single-source developer report, not an independent file count or permanent statement that web support is impossible.

On 28 October 2026 the old web URL returns a password page, while the main project lists downloadable files. Directly observing those two pages establishes their current public access state, not independent verification of the developer's technical explanation. Browser-to-download save compatibility remains unknown.

Other sites that say play online

This guide has not established the authorization, chapter coverage, or save compatibility of third-party players. It therefore does not embed or recommend them. The currently linked official option is the developer download; a password page is not a public play button or an invitation to bypass access controls.

Questions

Is the password public?

I did not find a public password, and I did not try to bypass the page.

Did a web version ever exist?

Players say chapter 1 could be played in the browser and that support stopped being complete from chapter 3. That is a player report, not a devlog line.

What should I do instead?

Download the PC, Mac, or Android file from the official itch page. iPhone uses the author's Ren'Py Pocket tutorial.
